About the Department

The Department of Electronics was founded in the year 1983-1984 under the aegis of the Department of Physics for the benefit of students who are keen to know the subjects from traditional to modern aspects of Electronics. It got established as an independent department in 2004. After obtaining the academic autonomy the department is revising the curricula periodically to facilitate the students to pursue higher education, acquire skills for employability and become entrepreneurs.

This course help students to acquire knowledge of design and development in Electronic Devices, Microcontrollers, Analog & Digital Circuits and Systems, Satellite Communication Systems, Mobile Communication, Fibre Optics Communication.


To impart sound theoretical Knowledge supported by hands on training in different areas of Electronics.

•    Develop acumen to absorb emerging knowledge and to life-long learning
•    Provide group activities in the area of Electronics that enable innovation and teamwork

Laboratory facilities

The department has spacious well equipped laboratory which is the backbone of the department and contributes significantly to the practical adeptness of the students. The newly established software laboratory provides good platform to perform experiments in DSP, VHDL and C++ programming supported by latest software tools.
