Our Library

The library is the heart of any academic institution and plays an important role in all academic activities of our institution. Keeping in view the aims and objectives of the college (institution), the library has been planned, developed & is constantly improvised by staff under the guidance of the library council.

The library has adopted an open access system so as to facilitate readers to have easy access to the library resources. The library has also established links with other important libraries at regional level, in order to provide inter – library access for the benefit of students and teachers of the college. To assist the students and research scholars to locate literature, as well as information in research, general reference & current awareness, computerized catalogue have been introduced.

  • To provide modern equipments for effective teaching, learning & research.
  • Providing computerized information, by electronic storage, retrieval and dissemination.
  • To cater the needs of the information to the users.
  • To provide current and complete information regarding the today’s  trends.
  • To prepare the users for competitive examinations.

The library has carpet area 14400 sq ft. It has been spread over two floors. Ground floor & First floor, having a seating capacity of 150 and 100 persons respectively.

  • All the systems in the browsing center are provided by OPAC.

Library Rules

  1. A borrower’s card will be issued to every student at the beginning of the year. It is not transferable. It should be surrendered at the end of the year.
  2. Admission to the library is only on the production of the identity card.
  3. Book will be issued as per the time table framed for this purpose.
  4. Books returned later will be liable for the fine of 1.00 rupee/book/day.
  5. Duplicated identity card and borrower’s card will be issued on payment of Rs. 200/- & Rs. 50/- respectively.
  6. Loan period 15 days.
  7. The student has to maintain discipline and silence in the library.
