About The Department

The Post-Graduate Department of Computer Science was started in the year 2008 with the blessings of his holiness Dr. Rajendra Mahaswamiji and his holiness Shree Shree Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji. The Department has well qualified faculty members. The curriculum has been suitably modified to meet the challenging needs of the Technology and Indian Society. At present the department has three laboratories .The laboratories has 50 Desktops, which are equipped with the advanced Operating Systems, Software’s and high speed internet connectivity. All the class rooms are fitted with LCD projectors. Department of Computer Science is an active department dedicated towards quality teaching and creative research. The department conducts number of activities like State Level, National Level Seminars, Workshops and Conference etc.

Eligibility for Admission

All students who have 45% (40% for SC/ST) in their B.Sc degree (from Recognized University/ Open University) with Mathematics as one subject and any one-two among Electronics, Instrumentation, Computer Science or Computer Maintenance and Physics as other subjects. OR Diploma (in Electronics, Computer Science and Information Technology) holders with B.Sc (IT) are permitted if they have SSLC level Mathematics. OR BCA / BVoc in (SD) (with PUC Science) degree from recognized University OR Equivalent to this from any other recognized University in India or abroad is also permitted.

* Programmers or the Software Engineers with the sound knowledge of practical and theoretical concepts for developing software.
* Serve as the Computer Engineers with enhanced knowledge of computers and its building blocks. Work as the Hardware Designers/Engineers with the knowledge of Networking Concepts.
* Work as the System Engineers and System integrators serve as the System Administrators with thorough knowledge of DBMS.

* Work as the Support Engineers and the Technical Writers
* Work as IT Sales and Marketing person.
* Serve as the IT Officers in Banks and cooperative societies.
* Computer Scientist in research and R & D Laboratories.
* Faculty for Graduate and Under Graduate Colleges.

PROGRAMME OUTCOMES:

After Completing the Program Students will be able to:

Identify, formulate, and solve computer science problems
Design, implement, test, and evaluate a computer system, component, or algorithm to meet desired needs
Receive the broad education necessary to understand the impact of computer science solutions in a global and societal context
Communicate effectively
Success in research or industry related to computer science
Have solid knowledge in computer science and engineering, including programming and languages, algorithms, theory, databases, etc.
