EQUAL OPPORTUNITY CELL (EOC) (2024-2026)
Introduction
The main challenges faced by individuals with disabilities and those from marginalized sections of society stem from disabling environments and socio-cultural and economic barriers. Discrimination against any person based on disability, physical limitations, or minority status is a serious violation of universally accepted principles of equality, human rights, and constitutional obligations. Addressing their challenges in higher education is of paramount importance and requires immediate attention.
JSS College of Arts, Commerce and Science upholds the values of inclusivity and equal opportunity. The Indian society is diverse, with groups segregated based on language, ethnicity, class, caste, religion, etc. Bridging these inequalities is essential, and this can be achieved through effective Equal Opportunity measures and policies.
