The Department of Journalism was established in 2012-13. Programmes offered BA in JPE , with inclusion of NEP programmes offered are BA in JP (Journalism, Political Science). The course aims at molding the student for a career in Journalism, both in Print and Broadcasting and in allied fields like Advertising, Film, and Public Relations. The Department even provides its students proper practical platform with respect to reporting, editing, page layout, designing and other professional needs and requirements during week-long Sutturu Jathra Mahotsava every year. Adding with special lectures, seminars, conferences & workshops are conducted to encourage students to participate and to improve the co-curricular skills and overall development.
